Anuj Sharma, Esq. is a New York licensed U.S. attorney and founder of A Sharma Law Firm, PLLC. Mr. Sharma is at the forefront of the immigration law community and a successful immigrant himself. Having been through the U.S. immigration system as a beneficiary, Mr. Sharma understands both the fundamentals and concerns of immigrants along with the business and human resource concerns of their employers. Mr. Sharma is equipped with more than 13 years of international legal experience and possesses the intricate knowledge of the nuances of corporate immigration law in connection with various types of work visas and employment-based permanent residency (green cards).

Mr. Sharma has extensive experience in the area of employment-based immigration, and has successfully represented clients before the U.S. Department of Labor (U.S.D.O.L.); the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (U.S.C.I.S.), and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (Immigration Court).He represents clients from both USA and abroad. He has successfully handled many complex immigration matters with the Immigration and Naturalization Service and consular processing cases at American Consulates abroad and especially consular posts in India. Mr. Sharma works with individuals and both large and small employers to assist with visas, Department of Labor Audits, I-9 audits and other immigration and naturalization issues. He also provides counselling and training seminars on immigration and related issues to employers and Human Resources professionals. Most recently, Mr. Sharma has successfully represented a number of U.S. employers and organizations in obtaining employment-based immigration benefits for their employees and stakeholders. Mr. Sharma’s recent clients include multinational corporations, mid- and small-size businesses and non-profit organizations.

Before founding A Sharma Law Firm, PLLC, Mr. Sharma was employed for over seven years in U.S. and served in the Corporate Legal Counsel and Global Legal Head positions with leading Information Technology multinational corporations and the most distinguished law firms. Having served in a vital role within the corporate and business environment, Mr. Sharma has gained valuable corporate and transactional law experience learning the fundamentals and concerns of immigrants along with the business and human resource concerns of their employers. During his tenure, Mr. Sharma was engaged in the business immigration law practice and assisted with general corporate compliance and commercial transactions. As Global Legal Counsel, Mr. Sharma provided analysis and counseling on global legal policies of the corporation, corporate governance, statutory compliance and all employment related issues. Mr. Sharma has drafted and successfully negotiated various Contractual agreements and Master Service Agreements along with other related vendor and client agreements. In a relatively short period of time, Mr. Sharma has established an excellent reputation for client satisfaction.

Mr. Sharma has earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Punjab University, India and Master of Laws degree in International & Comparative Law (LL.M) from Chicago Kent College of Law in 2004. He is a distinguished and an active member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the American Bar Association (ABA) among others. He is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi & Urdu.

Spevack was raised in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and graduated from Vanderbilt University before attending Rutgers Law School. His first formal trial was in 1965. He has since tried over 500 cases.
